About the Collective
The Suryyama Connections Collective is an intentional community of women healers sharing our skills and practices to create opportunities for students and clients to move, breathe fully, and practice self-care. In the process of joining together we become more balanced and cultivate connections between our mind, heart, and body.
We will teach collaborative sessions and workshops that include opportunities to experience yoga, breathwork, reiki, yoga therapy, self-discovery through writing and art, kirtan, ceremonial rituals, and more. We plan to offer retreats, Ayurvedic cooking sessions, and children's programs in the future. Come and participate in a community that values diversity and authenticity as we all learn from each other at the Suryyama Sanctuary.

Sharyn Hahn
Creator and CEO of Suryyama Connections LLC
and Suryyama Connections Collective™
Sharyn Hahn, C-IAYT, RYT-500, received her 800-hour IYT certification through the Kripalu School of Integrative Yoga Therapy. She practices as a Yoga Therapist, Holistic Wellness Consultant, and Personal Trainer. Sharyn has been teaching yoga and related healing practices since 2015 to students of all ages and levels. In her role as a Middle School teacher, Mindfulness and SEL have been a part of her curriculum since 2018. Her personal journey navigating health issues as a young adult deepened her appreciation for cultivating a balanced lifestyle that supported her path towards overall wellbeing. This awareness led her to pursue an accreditation in fitness as an ACE Personal Trainer, a Fitness Nutrition Coach, and several yoga certifications. She teaches fitness and various yoga modalities, while helping her students to create a personalized routine to support their goals. Sharyn shares her passion for guiding others on their own path with an invitation to explore and balance the chakras, practice pranayama (breathing techniques), tap into mindfulness, and delve into a physical practice that embraces asana (poses) to enhance balance, strength, and flexibility. This holistic approach reduces stress, strengthens the immune system, and increases overall wellness, with an emphasis on the physical, energetic, and emotional connections. Sharyn is very excited to have recently launched the Suryyama Connections Collective with several amazing practitioners and healers. She also offers private and group yoga therapy sessions, themed workshops, and retreats at her Hudson Valley studio, on Zoom, or in clients' spaces.

Fia Hatsav
Fia Hatsav's journey with reiki began through personal experience, which inspired her to pursue formal training in 2012 with Lisa Berkley, and continued with Joanna Crespo. In 2016 she received her Mastership Certification in Reiki, as well as an Ordination from Rev. Dan Chesbro of The Sanctuary of the Beloved. That same year, she founded “ Fia’s Creative Healing,” bringing together her love for art and reiki. Upon request the creation of abstract energy portraits are harmonized to each clients individual needs for energy balancing and healing, subtle energy clearings, and blessings. Fia’s abstract energy portraits are created through intuitive and divine guidance, resulting in unique works of healing art. Each portrait begins with Fia setting a clear intention for the piece. She continues by infusing the work with reiki and blessings before intuitively applying her brush across the surface. Every painting reveals its own unique healing energy portrait created solely for its recipient.

Barbara has spent a lifetime as a writer, producer, director, coach and teacher in all media with an emphasis on material addressing the human condition. One of her most recent creations is ShiftPoetry™, which is a "feel good technology" that she created with Howard Kern. It is based on Howard’s own experience in “writing himself well and happy” and out of loss and illness. In the medical community this work falls in the category of "bibliotherapy – engaging in positive words to stave off unhappiness, dis-ease, depression."
ShiftPoetry™ has helped many folks to find truths they did not know were within them. Lives are bettered – and sometimes this truthful writing does become a basis for creative writing.
Educated at Columbia University and Hunter College, Barbara holds certifications in pilates, Iyengar and Kundalini yoga, nutrition through the IIN – the Integrative Institute of Nutrition- among others. She is a certified Health and Wellness Coach through the Society of Drugless Practitioners, and she is an internal and external coach at Columbia University Teachers College.

Diana Benz, M.Ed.
Diana is a lifelong student of the body and the breath. She draws from certifications in Block Therapy™, breathwork (David Elliott method), reiki, and yoga, and offers practices guided by a deep trust in the body’s natural ability to unwind, rebalance, and renew.
Diana’s passion for teaching grew from her own experience. In her 40s, chronic tension from an old injury began limiting her movement and joy. Discovering Block Therapy™ and breathwork sparked a powerful shift. These practices helped her soften long-held restriction, reconnect with her body, and return to the activities she loves with strength and ease.
This transformation led her to found Block and Breathe™ in 2024—a wellness practice where she shares breath-led, fascia-focused self-care with clients locally and online. She’s taught at the Omega Institute and at wellness spaces across New York, and continues to support students through classes, private sessions and retreats.
